This Sunday we ask you to pray for the ministry of Wesley Knox
United Church. Please keep the following people in your
thoughts and prayers: Doris Robotham, Karyn Olsen, and Rob
Wark. May those unnamed yet in our hearts experience the
presence of God’s grace.
Note: Pastoral Care is important. Please contact the church
office if you are going into hospital or if you or a family member
are needing Pastoral Care. Your name will not be in the bulletin
unless we have permission from you to do so. We wish to offer
Pastoral Care support and at the same time respect your

EVERYONE IS WELCOME TO ATTEND!
– BULLETIN BOARDS: The Community Life Team is looking
for someone to help them keep the bulletin boards of the
church updated. Supplies are available.. We are asking for
about two hours of your time each Season. (IE – Fall, Christmas,
Spring and Summer). If you are creative and would like to
contribute to our church in this way, please speak to Tina
Zimmermann or anyone on the Community Life Team.
CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS NEEDED!
Your gently used Christmas decorations and
service items etc can still be brought in tomorrow,
Nov. 20th . We thank you in advance for your generosity.
PAINTING PARTY FOR OUR PARADE FLOAT. Mon. Nov.
20th starting at 6:30 pm.
Our theme is “Christmas Wishes”.
Come join in the fun as we begin painting our props,
large cardboard boxes. No experience necessary. Paint,

NEEDED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE
We need some volunteers to help operate the
sound system on Sunday mornings. Please
contact Tina Zimmermann at 519-245-0304 if
you can help some Sundays with this position.
At this time we thank Paul Wannamaker for his
dedication on Sunday mornings as our sound operator.
We wish Paul and Ruth well in their new home.

Child and Youth Ministry Leadership
Strathroy United Church is looking for a Child and Youth Leader
to join us in providing leadership and faith to our youth from
ages 0-18 years. At this time it would be approximately 8-10
hours per month. Our Sunday School at this time is small and
we are looking to grow. We are forming a Youth Group in
September and this is new to our church. We need faith, energy
and enthusiasm. Is that you? Please contact us with your

ENVELOPES AND PAR FOR 2018
If you are not using envelopes and wish to have them for
2018 please notify Dianne in the office. This is also a great time
to take advantage of our PAR(Pre Authorized Payment)
program , forms are available in the office and at the usher

UNITED CHURCH OBSERVER
Please contact Dianne in the office know if you would like to
have a subscription to the United Church Observer. The
subscription rate is $25.00 for the year, payable to the United
COMPASSIONATE FUND & CHURCH MISSION FUNDS:
Twice a month in the winter time we offer $25.00 Food
Basics Cards (4 per year per person)to those who are struggling
to make ends meet. This service is offered during the months
of Oct. Nov. Dec. Jan. Feb. and March on the second and third
Thursday mornings from 9-12.
On the Fourth Thursday of the month we serve guests
from our Community a Hospitality Meal. At our last meal we
served 115 guests.
Through your envelope givings you have an opportunity
to help both of these efforts to reach out to our community.
Compassionate Fund – Supports the Food Basic Cards
Church Mission Fund- supports of our Hospitality Meals.
Thank you for prayerfully considering these two
Community Outreach opportunities.
