Weekly Announcements: April 29, 2018

Welcome to Strathroy United Church

We are happy to have you with us this morning. If you are new to our church please feel free to ask our Ushers any questions about our worship service and facility.

Please join us downstairs in the Golden Jubilee room for cake and refreshments and a chance to welcome Maddox Childs into our church family.

Coffee and Refreshment Times– Please join us for coffee at the back of the sanctuary before, and down in the Golden Jubilee Room following our service.

Infant Nursery– We are happy to provide a Nursery complete with a play pen, sink, toys etc. …but will not be staffed at the present time. Parents are asked to be responsible for their children. Change table is available in the family restroom in the upper hall

Peace Candles – If you are a visitor with us this morning there are small votive candles available at the front of the sanctuary for you to take back to your home church.

Inclement Weather Closure

A decision to close the church due to inclement weather is made by the minister, custodian and chair of church council by 8 pm on the Saturday evening. A church closed message is put on the office phone, Face book, website and staff are notified. When possible it will also be on MYfm radio 105.7.

We understand that the last closure was certainly unexpected as it was in the middle of April. We are sorry if you did not get the message and we hope having the procedure outlined again will be helpful. A note that the radio station was called but the message did not air and we are looking into that for the next time.
