Rev. Dr. Brad Morrison
Ordained Minister

Brad and Sarah moved to Strathroy in 2019 to serve as minister of Strathroy United Church. He is Assistant Professor of Practical Theology at Huron University College at Western University, where he teaches courses in counselling, leadership, and education. Brad is a registered psychotherapist (CRPO) and registered marriage and family therapist (CRMT). Brad’s education includes a B.A. (Western), M.Div. (Toronto), M.T.S., M.Th., and D.Min. (Laurier). Brad and Sarah have three young adult children: Lexi, Wesley, and Monica.

Tabitha McLachlin Carey
Student Minister

Tabitha is the mother of three almost grown-up children. She and her wife live in London.  Although she served as the children, youth, and young families minister at St. David’s United Church in Woodstock for a few years, she has primarily worked as a medical social worker and psychotherapist.  She has a BTH, BSW, MBS and a MSW.  Having always felt the call to ministry, this past summer she started her Masters of Divinity at Atlantic School of Theology.  She has also been a member of the Mission and Discipleship Commission as well as the Social and Ecological Justice Committee with the Region. It is her honour to represent the Antler River Watershed at the National Conference.   Her passion is community and she looks forward to growing with the community of Strathroy United Church.

Andy Cloutier
Music Director

Born in Toronto, Andy Cloutier began musical studies at the age of five. After many years of study and performing, he entered the University of Western Ontario, where he completed a Bachelor of Music degree, with honours specialization in music theory and composition.  He has played in master classes and studied with many world renowned musicians, including Pepe Romero, Manuel Barrueco, David Russell, Roland Dyens, the Assad brothers, and many more.  He currently teaches young musicians in the London area, and is organist and music director at Strathroy United Church in Strathroy, Ontario.

Patti Baratta
Office Administrator

Patti Baratta is the office administrator for Strathroy United Church. She is responsible for the daily work in the church office, including reception, facility coordination, communications, and record keeping.

She was raised outside Adelaide village before going to Ottawa to attend Carleton University, where she earned a B.A. Honours in Psychology. Later, she attended the Sprott School of Business to earn a Management Certificate in Human Resources, eventually attaining her CHRP. She has worked in an administrative capacity for two charitable organizations in Ottawa and was also a very active volunteer for the church she attended before deciding to return home in 2017.

Kaeleigh Berdan
Child & Youth Leader

Kaeleigh leads our community youth program. She has been working with youth for over ten years and brings her passion and experience to our church. Kaeleigh grew up in Midland, Ontario and has recently moved back down to the Strathroy area, where her parents grew up, with her husband Zachary Stubbington. She graduated from the University of Guelph with an Honours Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Biology. She has also completed the Veterinary Technology program at the University of Guelph, Ridgetown Campus. She loves working with youth and animals and she can’t wait to see God’s love work in the youth of Strathroy.

Joe Rychel

Joe Rychel is the custodian at Strathroy United Church. He was born and raised in Strathroy where his family attended the United Church. He was active in the Sunday School program and the church choir. He has been married to his wife Sue for 38 years and blessed with two children and two beautiful granddaughters. Joe enjoys gardening, woodworking, and fixing things. His maintenance career was in London and he was looking to slow down into a semi-retirement position in Strathroy. He is happy to find this job at the church where he has so many fond memories.
