Hello! My name is Patti Baratta and I am the office administrator for Strathroy United Church. I am responsible for the daily work in the church office, including reception, facility coordination, communications, and record keeping.
I was raised outside Adelaide village before I went to Ottawa to attend Carleton University, where I earned a B.A. Honours in Psychology. Later, I attended the Sprott School of Business to earn a Management Certificate in Human Resources and eventually attained my CHRP. I also worked in an administrative capacity for two charitable organizations in Ottawa and was also a very active volunteer for the church I attended before I decided to return home in 2017.
Child & Youth Leader
Kaeleigh leads our community youth program. She has been working with youth for over ten years and brings her passion and experience to our church. Kaeleigh grew up in Midland, Ontario and has recently moved back down to the Strathroy area, where her parents grew up, with her husband Zachary Stubbington. She graduated from the University of Guelph with an Honours Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Biology, and she is completing the Veterinary Technology program at the University of Guelph: Ridgetown Campus. She loves working with youth and animals and she can’t wait to see God’s love work in the youth of Strathroy.
Hi! My name is John Larocque and I am the custodian at Strathroy United Church. In 2004/05 I took on this role as a way to ease into my retirement as a letter carrier with Canada Post.
As custodian, I am responsible for keeping the church property clean, safe and secure. I enjoy and take pride in my work and in being part of our church family.
My wife Nancy and I grew up in Strathroy (and Kerwood) and have lived here most of our lives. We have both been very actively involved in many, many ways in our community, as well as our church life. We raised our 2 daughters here and are delighted and grateful that our 2 granddaughters are growing up here as well.
When I am not working at the church, I enjoy working in our yard, cheering on the Strathroy Rockets, “cruising” or relaxing in my recliner – reading, watching TV or just napping.
